why will my machine only wash at 30d?

my maxx will only wash at 30 in cotton. i have it at 1000 spin press start at 40 and it wont go?

30 degrees is about the temp water would be coming through on a COLD CYCLE . I think you need to test that the HEATER ELEMENT IS O K and not O/C
