Mend Canon MV600 Power Cable Socket

No power canon mv600?

I connected the firewire cable to the PC incorrectly as i couldn't properly see the PC firewire socket. In went the cable the wrong way round. It was forced in somewhat, but then I realised my mistake and put the firewire cable in correctly. As a result no power in the Camcorder at all, not form chargd battery, nor form mains connected. The tape is locked in the camcorder. How do I sort this problem?
