Spot on Fitness treadmill problem?

Hi Everyone

I have been given a treadmill that is not working. The treadmill is made by "Spot on Fitness" which I can't find any information about. The treadmill switches on and the display works correctly. The treadmill incline goes up and down correctly. You can set the running speed but the treadmill does not start or move. I was given a replacement power supply and a complete replacement display unit. Both of these have been changed but still no movement on the treadmill.

I have done a little testing of the treadmill but am confused. I disconnected the motor from the power supply (Red and black wires to the motor) and checked for output from the PSU. I have about 240v output. When the motor is connected back there is no output from the PSU. There is continuity when testing across the motor terminals so I guess this means it is a short circuit. Is that correct or is this the loading of the motor I am seeing. Can I test the motor by connecting directly to a supply in any way?

If the motor is defective can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement. I can find no marking on the motor for make or model. I cant even find the treadmill manufacturer on the internet. I am stuck where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.
