1995 sea doo spi question?

I have a 1995 sea doo and a guy said the control that gives more oil when i throttle up was broken so he disconnected it and said to mix the oil by hand. How hard or expensive could it be to do the job right? If nothing else-how big is the gas tank? Thank you so much
