Mend Murray 3.5 Running Lawnmower Engine

Quantum 3.5 running poorly?

I have a question about my Quantum 3.5 lawnmower engine. Through miscommunication chainsaw gas was put in my lawnmower. It revs up and down and when it revs down it puffs black smoke. I have changed the gas twice and cleaned the air filter and replaced the spark plug. It runs ok for 10 sec. and then acts up. what to do???

you may find a bit of dirt in the carb jetsyou nedd to clean this out,it would be better using compressed air to blow the dirt out if you have the use of a compressor
