how can i fix my F&P GW608U?

Start machine on wash cycle - low water level - cold wash. Take note of the sound of the water coming in & how long it takes to fill to that level. Let it run until it starts the deep rinse. Listen to the water coming in. Does it sound the same & does it take the same time to fill to the low level? Does the error occur while it is still filling or after the water valve turns off?

must be the deep rinse nothing written under the light no water coming out the hose though What do i try next?

There is no such thing as a water controller. Only the water inlet valve which turns the flow on & off in response to the signal from the main controller board. The inlet valve must be working ok because you say it does the fill & wash cycle ok. When you say the 2nd stage of the rinse do you mean the deep rinse? What exactly happens at that time? Can you hear the water filling the bowl, is it sounding like a normal flow & has it stopped filling when the beeping starts or is it still in the process? Also, watch the outlet pipe & see if any water is escaping to the drain. This will make it a longer than normal fill time which may trigger a fault condition.

I have done this and all is ok was running then it has just stopped over the weekend. will this mean that the cold water controller is no good?

Check the inlet hoses are connected to the correct tap. Hot inlet to hot tap & cold inlet to cold tap. H & C marked on rear of top panel beside the inlet valve. The hot & cold light flashing means there is a problem with the water supply. Even if you select a hot wash it will always do a cold rinse. So if hot tap is connected to the cold inlet the controller will signal a fault because it will know the water is hot.
