vauxall astra?

when i pull off or if the car slightly jerks between first gear change i get a clunk from the driver side wheel, its not the suspension, sounds like it coming from the wheel, i can feel a little vibration on the pedels when it happens, feels like somthing is loose, it not a rotary sound, more like a slight knock, has any1 else had this problem,
