How do I disable the alarm on my 2003 Ford Mondeo Zetec?

I too would appreciate an answer to this for my '98 diesel estate as the alarm keeps going off and a keep getting a ticking sound under my glove box, i believe it to be faulty seals on the windscreen as there is damp behind the fuse box, but i think that disabling the alarm would be an easier solution and cheaper!
