renault master van clutch cylinder?

I had same prob on 99 changed slave and master worked it ou that faster I went worse the pedal got,I took off the feed pipe to the master from resiviour (when I had full pedal )kept it conected pedal end and stuck a bolt and jublee round it and blocked my feed hole in resiviour(or when you brake you may loose your fluid ) and it worked didn't loose pedal at all so put it down to either servo or resiviour fault (do they have a one way valve inside resiviour ????)so after hours and money check that first :)

is it easy to bleed the clutch, i can drive 200+ miles and then the clutch pedal just stays down, i cant change gear, revs stay high. obviously this is dangerous. my local garage has bleed the system but it seems to be an irratic problem. any help would be great.

It could well be the slave cylinder and on most vans after 1999 these are inside the clutch housing so the gearbox will have to come off.
Do you have any clutch fluid leaking from the bottom of the clutch housing at the joint where it bolts to the engine. (there is a small drain hole in the casing) as that's a sure sign of a failed slave cylinder.
Other than that it could just be that you haven't bled all the air out of the circuit. they are known to be awkward with this.
