Mend Whirlpool Oven Work Switch

whirlpool over timer button stuck ?

i have a whirlpool double oven. the timer button has suddenly decided not to work. i am not sure if it is stuck or if a new timer switch is needed (hope not!). has anyone any answers or come across this before?
