Hoover HNF6167-80 won't spin?

I just had a loud bang from my washing machine HNF6167-80 which tripped the fuses in the house, after restarting everything works fine but the drum does not spin at all!! I took the back off the machine and the belt was in place and tight enough, I have also taken off the motor and checked the brushes which are also fine with about an inch an a 1/2 left I have looked inside for any loose wires or blown components and I found that the loom of wires that come from the control panel lead down towards the motor are singed and white. I have been looking for parts (looms) and a way to replace this but am truly unsure if this can be replaced and what caused it burn.
Can anyone help me please?????
