Mend Grundig GDS300 Told Red Light

how can i fix my grundig gds300 digibox?

i have been told there is a problem with the power supply.the red light comes on for a few seconds then goes off.this happens repeatedly.if i manage to switch the digibox on it works for a very short while then goes off.i have been told it is a cap on the psu.i have soldering skills but no test equipment for caps

The cure on the old Grundig boxes used to be to replace ALL the capacitors in the PSU. These guys used to do a kit: www.satcure.co.uk
