Mend Vauxhall Vectra 1999 Reg

vauxhall vectra, 1999, s reg, 1.8, petrol, man. sparks from near coil pack?

theres a spark coming from near or the socket that plugs into the coil pack. its just hitting the base of the coil pack. what could this be??? please help thanks.

ur right it looks like a crack but when u look a bit closer its where the sparks been hitting the coil pack. all that protective gel on the pack had worn off sum how, well it is 10years old. anyway all done now. plus the engine managment light has turned off aswell.

sorted the problem it was the coil pack it had a crack in it.

This is the insulation failing on the coil pack - its not too uncommon, and it means the coil will fail soon.
