Mend Hotpoint WT741 Machine Model

How can I fix my Hotpoint Washing Machine Model WT741?

Our 3 year old Hotpoint Ultima Washing Machine was working fine until last evening when the wife had the M/c on slow spin and decided that it had spun enough and switched it off on the front panel using the Start/Cancel button and then the On/Off button.
Went to use the M/c to-day only to find no joy when trying to switch on! I have tested the supply and have it to the M/c thru the capacitor and as far as a connector at the rear (bottom left) of the M/c.
Any ideas?

might be a faulty on/off button sometimes they get stuck, take lid off with power off, undo 2 screws on console and screws behind dispenser remove wire to console should come off might have two clips inside, pull board out with lifting clips should see two micro switch one might have come off
