halstead sime problem ?

my halstead sime boiler wont heat the hot water but the central heating is red hot we had this problem before and fitted a new diverter valve could this be the problem again?

yes easy where the last valve was replaced simply touch the pipe bellow and above this valve after you have set the controls to hot water "on" and if the bottom hot, top cold, its a faulty valve. prove by pushing accross a small handle at the bottom of the valve and hold the whole pipe should heat up in seconds
