my vacuum cleaner when switched on stops and starts for 6 to 8 times before eventually staying on i wonder what the problem is the vacuum is a hoover upright bagless dust manager model
I have a Hoover 31.0 12 amp wind tunnel vac model # u6625-900. It has a green and red light that says clean and dirty. Usualy the green light is on until it needs to be cleaned. Well now the red lights on all the time. There must be some kind of flow switch inside. can someone help me with this please.

I would check for a short in the power cord. If it gets unplugged in-correctly-by being pulled out of the wall by the cord that would cause it. After you determine where the short is you can buy a cheap replacement plug end.
