Your Ironing System has an electrical fault that might be dangerous - if the power for the whole property is going off - Lights and Power sockets - then the RCD Earth Leakage trip is indicating Power running to Earth - the trip device switches everything off because the "missing" power may be going through a person's body - it's a safety thing.
If you can get your iron repaired then do so - or buy a new one.
If the iron's wall plug can be dismantled you might look inside for a loose wire - if it's a moulded plug then it should be good.
