L reg Citroen Xantia 2litre i with a water leak?

I have an L plated Citroen Xantia 2.0litre i with a water leak from one of the two plastic pipes that the heater pipes go into at the bulkhead.

I cannot see how to remove the pipes from the plastic bit to either bypass or repair it.
