Mend Washer Appears Spin

help with washer?

davymac had me check the 'brushes' on the washer by tapping them. the belt appears intact but the washer still doesnt spin.

Lisa. I was hoping that it was the 'Brushes' I spoke of. However, the motor may be 'banjoed', but a tap on the brushes was worth a check first.
Motors are easily replaced but can be in the region of £90+ for the part alone.
