was using a flymo trimmer but noticed i could smell somthing burning like wires then suddenly it stopped working please what should i do.

Regretfully it sounds likely that the motor has burned out...quite common! At best you may get away with new carbon brushes...£5 or so. Then it's a gamble. if it's under 1yr then try the warranty option.
