Mend Vaillant VCW 242EH Boiler Heating

Heating wont work?

I have a Vaillant VCW 242EH boiler. The plumber replaced a valve as we had no hot water downstairs, but we did upstairs. We now have hot water but the heating wont fire up. Any ideas?
