Mend Zanussi Washing Machine Electrics Tripped

Zanussi progress 1400 (7kg)?

Hi, our washing machine tripped the electrics in the house when turned on. Turned electric back on but the washing machine programme does not start, although lights work and can go through all the buttons. The pause/start button flashes but nothing happens when pressed? Anyone help?
