I have a B & S 17.5 hp OHV engine on a Toro ZTR. It starts o.k., but after cutting for about 30 minutes, it begins to bog down, stall and chug. When the blades are disengaged, it will begin to run o.k. again. The air filter is clean and it has enough oil. Could it have a carb problem or maybe a vacuum leak in the fuel line?
I have a similar problem when the grass is growing like crazy this time of year. Try adjusting for a higher cut. The grass may simply be too thick? What I really need is a commercial grade machine for this acreage.
