Mend Vauxhall Combo Problem

vauxhall combo indicator problem?

I put the right indicator on and it flicks back to normall once i have turned. but when i indicate left it wont flick back off until i do it manually...only a little problem but does bug me as i always forget so wanting to know how i can fix it...

i reckon the left hand lug on the indicator cancel ring mounted under the steering wheel has broken off. new ring required i've been driving 30 + years and i always cancel the indicators myself before they turn off on the arm
