Are you saying when the Tech drive is in "D" the machine drives itself backward? The gearcase may be stuck in reverse position or the handle is out of adjustment. It is safe to say that you need to take it to a vac repair shop that works on Kirby's to get your problem resolved. The disassembly is too involved and will take more time than it is worth.
