How do I replace a "door interlock" on my washing machine?

How do I replace a "door interlock" on my Zanussi Aquacycle 1400 Xtra capacity model number FLE1416W. I have located the part in the machine, but it appears to be hanging in mid air. Should it be clipped or positioned into something else inside the machine as well as being held in place by the 2 screws on the casing of the door ? Any help, advice or comments will be very welcome. Thank you.
