my remot will not work nothing i have changed the battery but not working you can still use the key to ope the doors why is this ?

Using the main central locking key turn the ignition on and off 5 times in quick succession then press one of the buttons on the fob with the keys still in. A confirmation sound should be heard from the dash when complete. This will re-sync the key.
