whirlpool dryer model ler5636eq2?

How do I replace a heating element and a thermostat in this model? Dryer works but will not heat. I am told to remove the element and thermostat and have them tested at parts place to see what the problem is. Please list all steps if possible. I am a woman and need lots of help. Thanks so much!
