Mend Hoover Washing Water Enters

my hoover 1300 washing machine overfills in the soap powder dispenser?

my hoover 1300 washing machine overfills in soap powder dispenser when water enters but wont enter the drum, i have checked hoses top and bottom and they are clear of any obstruction i wonder wether its an electical fault? please help

Firstly check that the soap drawer is not blocked and crusted with powder, then secondly reduce the flow rate at which the water is going into the machine, ie turn the valve back a bit. If it is too fast, the water will just be forced out the soap drawer, rather than running back into the machine! Hope this helps.
