Mend Toro Help Starts Engage

Got a rope around the blade of my Toro walk behind! HELP!?

Today I got a rope wrapped around my Toro selfprop-mower. Walk behind. I got the rope off and it starts. When I engage the blade I get the metally noise! Help! Oh, I only got 2 passes done!
