Mend Hoover TV630 Dryer Drum Noise

How can I fix my hoover tv630?

My hoover tv630 is making a peculiar noise when active, almost like a scraping noise, and it seems that the drum has dropped, how can i get the drum to stay up. or if that is not the problem, then what is and how can i fix it? please help!

Mine was making the same noise (for some time) so I stripped it down. The drum had dropped and when I removed the drum, I found that the bearing (which is just a piece of metal) was completely worn through. The parts to replace this is fairly expensive so its going down the tip.
