Mend Fisher & Paykel Tumble Dryer Belt Cycle

Fisher & Paykel Dryer stops spinning and recommences a few minutes later?

My dryer will stop spinning after about 10 minutes. It will then re-start again after a few minutes break and then will stop again a few minutes later. This continues throughout the cycle. The belt seems fine and the drum can be manually turned. Also, is there likely to be any danger whilst it is not tumbling?
