I took the following instructions from another site a while ago, cant remember which one, hope this helps!
--------------------------------------------------
I can't find my previously posted Relay 30 fitting instructions; so, from memory, here they are again.
Remove the driver's side lower dash panel; [7 long screws and a clip round the corner under the door rubber?]
Remove the screw that holds the top of the fusebox; then pivot and pull the whole fuse/relay unit down and forwards to release it from it's clips. [There's a flickover clip to free the bottom pivot.]
Look deep inside the framework, behind the fuse mounts, for a relay with "30" printed on it in white paint. You may need a torch to even see it.
Remove the relay; pop off it's cover and examine the solder joints on the board. It's likely that one will be heated or cracked; just re-solder it or get a new one from Ford - around £10.
Refitting the fusebox into it's clips needs a bit of care; just take your time and make sure that no wires get trapped.
