Mend Toyota 2440 Sewing Machine Repair Needle

ehgine gone very slow?

i have a toyato 2440 model which hasnt been used for a long time, inital start was ok, but has now gone very slow and stiff. needle does just go through material but not well. does it just need a good spray with wd 40 or should i take it to shop?

Hello Jab,
Without a doubt get the machine oiled with WD40 to begine with, would be wise to oil all moving parts and leave the machine overnight so it can work it's way through the parts that will move.
