Mend Hotpoint TDL11P Front Felt Bearing

How to remove the front of a hotpoint rdl11p?

I need to relace then belt and felt bearing on a Hotpoint TDL11P. How do I get the front off safely?
It just doesen't make sense to throw away a otherwise working appliance or pay 120.00 for a repair!
