Mend Kenmore Drum Bearing

Broken clips when replacing the felt bearing and seal, can I use glue?

I am trying to relpace the felt bearing and seal at the front of the drum on my Kenmore dryer, but 2 of the 3 plastic clips that the seal fits around are broken off. What can I do? Use glue? Not use the clips at all? Any suggestions??
