There is a sensor in most video cameras to detect damp. It is a safety feature. Unfortunately it doesn't require much humidity to trigger the sensor.
Advice:- open up as many compartments as possible, remove battery, flashcard and any other 'add on' and put the camera in a warm place like an airing cupboard for 24 hrs
