Mend Randall 102 Boiler Heating Programmer

randall 102 problem?

i have a ideal classic boiler with a randall 102 mini programmer attached. the randall will work perfectly with water and heating on and will switch off ok but when i put it on to water only, it will not switch the heating off. please help??

If you have a Room Thermostat in the house, turn it right down, if the heating goes off, then the Randall 102 is faulty. and will need repalcing, if however even with the room thermostat turned down the heating keeps going, it indicates that the problem may lie further down the control chain, perhaps the Motorised Valve etc
