how do i drain my hotpoint wm71?

remove the drain pipe out of the stand pipe place end in a bowl and lower to the ground,the water will flow out by gravity be prepared to empty the bowl due to the amount of water retained in machine.
with the power supply off and plug out of the socket, next pull the machine out and remove the top (a couple of screws at the top rear ) slide back the top and remove look for the pressure switch(a round device with wires on and a small plastic tube (pipe may have come off) if not remove the pipe from the switch and blow hard down the pipe you may blow the blockage clear or you may have to locate the other end of the pipe located on the pressure chamber remove the pipe and clear out the small hole of caked up washing powder etc reassemble the pipe both ends and try this usually clears the overfill problem most times
