Zanussi ZWD1271W E10 error code ?

Our washer dryer Zanussi ZWD1271W is showing an E10 message when being used as a dryer .

The machine works fine in all other ways. i.e. It washes fine.

It runs for a couple of mins on the dryer setting counting down from 1.55 to 1.54 then displays the E10 message & beeps.

The manual says E10 is a water inlet problem. I have checked the water inlet pipe which appears to be perfectly clear at the connection point to the machine. Plus it washes fine & therefore I do not understand how it can be an inlet issue.

I have cleared out the pump trap on the front of the machine which did have bits & pieces in at first but now is totally clear.

I tried running the maintenance cycle (95 degree wash with a calgon tablet) This did have a measure of success by the dryer working the following time but have tried this again & the dryer continues to not work, so this may have been coincidence ?

I have not taken the back off the machine nor done any other checks.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated even if to tell me I need a new one !
