Mend John Deere GX70 Spark Points Lawn

how do I get spark?

I am looking for the points on a JohnDeere GX 70 lawn mower. where are they or do they have a different system for spark? No points under the flywheel

John Deere John Deere GX70 Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Spark Points Lawn

There are none - assuming the engine is less than 20 years old.

The ignition armature(coil) is solid state - assuming the 'STOP' wire is not shorted, no spark means a duff coil.

Try a new plug first!
