Mend Hoover VHD814 Appliance Repair Cycle

How can I fix my Hoover VHD814 Vision Washing Machine?

My two year old turned the knob right round during a wash cycle. The machine stopped mid cycle and i can't restart it. Is there any was to reset/override?
