Answering my own fault. After performing a full reset and discovering the sound was missing, it appears that the update that TUTV have issued in the last week disables the sound functionality within the Scart connections.
TUTV help staff are not helpful at all and go through a set list and will not take any responsibility and state that you would need to purchase a new receiver!!
The solution, replace the scart with S-Video cable and all works well.
