Mend Sony DCR-TVR265E Repair Screen

free sony repair?

I have a sony handy camera: dcr tvr 265e and the lcd screen and viewfinder have gone a black/grey colour, no picture. I believe this is due to a faulty ccd chip ( imaging device) This is a manufacturing fault and should be repaired free by sony. I live at exeter and the camera is out of warranty. Is there a local sony repair shop and can I get a free repair?

This camera is a 2003 Model so very unlikley to be repaired free of charge. Try customer services on 08705111999. Local dealers are Devon camera centre 14 Waterbeer St Exeter 01392 214199 and London Camera exchange 174, Fore St Exeter 01392 279024.
