how do i make my lawnmower run?

i have a tecumseh vintage 35, that starts, runs for about three seconds then stalls, i wonder if anyone has any ideas what might be wrong, and what to do with it?

Time to take the carburettor off for a good clean inside. Use proper carb cleaner in an aerosol though - rags and kitchen paper are a strict no-no.
