Valve Settings for Briggs & Stratton 18 HP Model 31H777 and if at top dead center to adjust ?

Briggs & Stratton Briggs & Stratton 31H777 Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Valve Briggs Stratton

Cold clearances = 8 thou on the inlet, 18 thou on the exhaust, according to my book. To set them, turn the engine until the exhaust valve is fully open, then set the inlet, then turn the engine until the inlet valve is fully open, then set the exhaust.
