will my nikki carb with a fuel selinoid defective still operate.A shade-tree-mechanic friend said that it would. Just cut the plunger off and reinstall.This is a Nikki 696353 carb off a 15.5 briggs riding mower.The carbs needle valve probably stuck,causing it to flood thru carb into clylinder and oil. What to do?
