Mend Troy-Bilt 18.5 hp Carburetor Lawn Mower Engine

is it my trans?

i have completely cleaned my carb and my mower still won't run. it will idle good. but when i engage my blades the engine shuts down. or if i don't engage the blade and i just ride around the yard the mower starts to bog down. i went to a repair shop and he said it was the trans. who has the answer? it is a troy built 18.5 hp about 4yrs old w/bs intek engine

I would suggest you have a fuel starvatiom problem. Check fuel filter, fuel pump (if fitted), then after that you will be down to stripping and cleaning the carb.
