How can I fix screen?

My laptop screen has a rectangle on the right hand side missing and a small one along the bottom of the screen, underneath the start menu/taskbar. Everything has moved the left hand side of the screen so their is nothing missing. Also when the cursor is moved to the rectangle at the bottom of the screen it seems to stretch out into this black rectangle. Any advice on how to rectify this.
