Could be diverter also. Amongst many things..

Does the hot water indicator light come on when you open a hot tap? If not, start thinking diverter valve or microswitch problem.

sounds like your heat exchanger is faulty, the hot water side needs the heat exchanger whereas the central heating does not. best to hget a Woscester bosch engineers to fix, will be about £230
